CB Classic Cocktail
Classic cocktails are always in vogue, and this drink, as well as the CB Stinger will always be in style.
1 ½ oz. Christian Brothers Brandy
1 lemon wedge
Powdered sugar
¼ oz. cherry Liqueur
½ oz. lemon juice
½ oz. triple sec
Rub the lemon wedge around the rim of a cocktail glass. Dip glass into a dish with the sugar, taking care to coat sugar evenly around the rim of the glass. Fill a drink shaker half full with ice cubes. Pour the Brandy, cherry liqueur, lemon juice and triple sec into shaker and shake well. Strain drink into the cocktail glass, throw in the lemon wedge, and serve.

CB Mocha

Brandy Ameretto Coffee
The perfect coffee for relaxing by the fire with special friends.
Serves 4
¼ cup Christian Brothers Brandy
½ cup amaretto
4 teaspoons sugar, or to taste
3 cups freshly brewed strong coffee
Lightly sweetened whipped cream to taste
Garnish: Lightly toasted sliced almonds
In each of the four 8-ounce mugs combine 1 tablespoon Brandy, 2 tablespoons amaretto, and 1 teaspoon sugar, divide the coffee and stir drinks until sugar is dissolved. Top each drink with a dollop of whipped cream and sprinkle whipped cream with almonds.

CB Brandy Sangria
2 oz. Christian Brothers Brandy
1 tsp. Port
1 tsp. water
½ tsp. powdered sugar
soda water
sprinkle of nutmeg
Dissolve powdered sugar in 1 tsp. water. Stir in Brandy and pour over ice in a rocks glass. Fill with soda water. Float Port on top. Sprinkle lightly with nutmeg and serve.

CB Spiced Cider
3/4 ounce Christian Brothers Brandy
6 ounces hot apple cider
3/4 ounce triple sec
1/2 tsp. cinna-meg sugar (equal parts: cinnamon, nutmeg and sugar)
Orange rind, studded with whole cloves
Stick of whole cinnamon
In a stemmed wine glass, add cinna-meg to Brandy and triple sec. Fill with hot apple cider. Garnish with a twist of an orange rind studded with whole cloves. Gently dust with powdered cinnamon and stir with a stick of cinnamon.

Baked Brandy Glazed Ham
Ham is a fall and holiday favorite. Add a unique flavoring to your next gathering with Baked Brandy Glazed Ham.
Serves 6
3 tablespoons Christian Brothers Brandy
2 pounds cooked ham
1 ½ cups dry white wine
1 ½ cups water
1 cup raisins
2 tablespoons butter
Preheat oven to 350° degrees F. Remove rind from ham and score the ham's surface. Place the ham in a casserole dish and pour on the wine and water. Arrange raisins and butter around the meat. Pour on Brandy and bake for approximately 40 minutes, basting frequently with the liquids from the pan. Remove when the surface is crisp and golden. Let stand for 10 minutes before slicing. Can be served hot or cold.
Note: You can prepare in advance and reheat to serve hot. To reheat, cover with aluminum foil and warm for 20-25 minutes in a moderate oven.

Spirited Onion Soup
Looking for a different way to serve French onion soup? Spirited onion soup is the perfect opener – impressive, yet quick.
Serves 4
2 tablespoons Christian Brothers Brandy
1 tablespoon butter
3 pounds onions, sliced
½ teaspoon sugar
2 tablespoons all purpose flour
4 cups canned beef broth
1 ½ tablespoons dry white wine
1 ½ teaspoons Dijon mustard
4 ½-inch-thick French bread slices, toasted
4 1/8-inch-thick Swiss cheese slices
pinch of salt
Melt butter in large, deep saucepan over medium heat. Add onions, sugar and pinch of salt. Cover pan and cook until onions are very soft, stirring occasionally, about 20 minutes. Increase heat to high and sauté uncovered until onions are golden brown, about 10 minutes. Add flour and stir 2 minutes. Mix in beef broth, wine, Brandy and mustard. Bring soup to boil, stirring frequently. Reduce to low, cover and simmer 10 minutes. Season to taste with salt and pepper. Note: This soup can be prepared 1 day ahead of time and refrigerated. Re-warm before continuing.
Preheat broiler. Ladle soup into deep broilerproof bowls. Top soup with bread slices, then cheese. Allow broiler to melt cheese and lightly brown the bread.

Five-Spice Apple Chutney
Serve as an accompaniment to Baked Brandy Glazed Ham or enjoy them with your favorite pork recipe.
Serves 6
¼ cup Christian Brothers Brandy
½ stick butter
4 large granny smith apples, peeled, cored and diced
1 medium red onion
3 tablespoons brown sugar
2 tablespoons Chinese 5 Spice Powder
In a large sauté pan, over medium heat, melt butter. Add apples and onions and cook until tender. Add brown sugar and 5-spice powder. Stir gently to blend. Deglaze* with Brandy. Cook for 5 minutes to reduce liquid.
* To deglaze, pour the Brandy into the pan, heat, and stir to loosen the browned ingredients off the bottom of the pan.

Ginger Sweet Potatoes
These sweet potatoes are light enough to be enjoyed with the Baked Brandy Glazed Ham and alongside the Five-Spice Apple Chutney.
Serves 6
¼ cup Christian Brothers Brandy
3 cans of sweet potatoes
1 stick butter
½ cup heavy cream
2 tablespoons ground ginger
salt and white pepper to taste
In a large saucepan, over medium high heat, bring sweet potatoes to a boil and drain. Add butter, cream, Brandy and ginger to sweet potatoes and whip to blend. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

Brandy Snaps
Dress up these delicious cookies with a chocolate coating. Great for any special occasion.
2 teaspoons Christian Brothers Brandy
½ cup butter or margarine
½ cup granulated sugar
1/3 cup dark corn syrup
¾ teaspoon ground cinnamon
½ teaspoon ground ginger
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 ½ cups semi-sweet chocolate morsels
1 ½ tablespoons vegetable shortening
½ cup finely chopped walnuts
Preheat over to 300° F.
Combine butter, sugar, corn syrup, cinnamon and ginger in medium, heavy-duty saucepan over low heat, stirring until smooth. Remove from heat: stir in flour and Brandy. Drop by rounded teaspoon, about 3 inches apart, onto ungreased baking sheets. Bake no more than six at a time.
Bake for 10 to 14 minutes or until deep caramel color. Cool on baking sheets for 10 seconds. Remove from baking sheets and immediately roll around wooden spoon handle; cool completely on wire racks.
Line baking sheets with waxed paper.
Microwave morsels and vegetable shortening in medium, microwave-safe bowl on High (100 percent) power for 1 minute; stir. Microwave at additional 10- to 20-second intervals, stirring until smooth. Dip cookies halfway in melted chocolate; shake off excess. Sprinkle with nuts; set on prepared baking sheets. Refrigerate for 10 minutes or until chocolate is set. Store in airtight container in refrigerator.
